Best Inflatable Hot Tubs 2022

Here are some factors to consider before buying a portable hot tub spa.

Imagine coming back from a hard day at work and relaxing in an inflatable hot tub.

It helps you release stress and enjoy the rest of the day.

Most people though, wouldn’t even contemplate the thought of buying one, as they think it would cost over thousands of pounds and take up too much space at home.

Fortunately, thanks to developments in technology, there is actually so much choice available on the market.

Believe it or now, you can actually buy a fully functional hot tub for less than £350. However, finding the right product takes days of research, and even then, you might end up with something that breaks within a few months.

Due to this, we thought it would be a good idea to compile a list of the best options that are available on the market right now.

Having tested a wide range of different products, we picked 5 that we thought were great value for money and perfectly suited to use at home.

The Best Inflatable Hot Tub on the Market Reviews 2022

1. Lay-Z-Spa 54129 Palm Springs Hot Tub

The Lay-Z-Spa 54129 Palm Springs is possibly the best blow up hot tub available on the market right now.

To start off, let us just say that you will be seeing the Lay-Z-Spa brand name a lot throughout this list. It is simply the king of this market in the UK and makes high quality spas at reasonable prices.

The 54129 Palm Springs inflatable portable spa is certainly no exception and takes the top spot on list for a number of reasons.

It features a simplistic but stylish design, and will look great wherever you put it.

For those of you who have never used an inflatable jacuzzi before, don’t worry because this is incredibly easy to set up. There is an instruction manual and a DVD for setup and maintenance, which is ideal for keeping your expensive jacuzzi in excellent condition.

It offers incredible comfort and durability due to the 3-layer leatheroid reinforced body, and as long as you take good care in maintaining it, you will be relaxing in this for years to come. There is also lock-clips and a built-in air chamber to ensure proper insulation.

The built-in rapid heating system ensures a consistent water temperature of 40 degrees and the integrated water filtration makes sure water is always clean. The added ground mat also keeps water warm at all times.

It also comes with the industry-leading Lay-Z massage system that uses 120 air-jets, and works extremely well. We were very surprised with how powerful it actually is.

The interior flooring is cushioned and has a built-in quick-drain feature that is very convenient when you’re done.

Both the spa pump and pool have been pre-tested so you can be sure that you will be getting something that works right out of the box. It’s also important to note that the pump is digitally controlled and has a soft touch control panel, which makes it very easy to use.

So, you might be wondering what you actually get in the whole package. Well, apart from the actual inflatable spa, you also get the following to ensure effective usage:

– a chemical floater: To dispense chemicals, which is very important for maintenance,

– As mentioned already, a DVD and instruction manual for setup and maintenance,

– Filter Cartridge (VI)

– A heavy-duty repair patch, with glue, a manometer and a wrench

– A ground mat.

In terms of capacity and dimensions, we’re looking at an inflated size of 77″ x 28″ and capacity for 4-6 adults. Just to explain, 77 inches is the exterior diameter.

This inflatable hot tub is definitely one of the best options available on the market at the moment. It has a large capacity, and is an absolute bargain compared to others.

2. Lay-Z-Spa Monaco Inflatable Hot Tub

The Lay-Z-Spa Monaco is one of the biggest inflatable hot tubs on this list and will cost you over £550.

The Bestway Lay-Z-Spa Monaco has a large capacity and will easily fit 6-8 people. However, the price has been ramped up due to this, and it will cost you a fortune.

That’s to be expected though because it is obviously a very high quality product.

While it may be big, it is still portable and easy to move around. The blue colour is rather simple, which can be both good and bad depending on your taste. It’s certainly not bad but in our opinion, it doesn’t quite have the elegant look that the Palm Springs option has.

Of course, the most important thing is the performance, and this is where the inflatable Lay-Z-Spa Monaco excels. Thanks to the rapid heating system, the water heats up to 40 degrees very quickly. The built-in Lay-Z Massage system uses 80 air jets to blast water for pure relaxation.

The air pump is digitally controlled, so you can very easily turn on the heating system and change the water temperature at the press of a button. It’s also used to turn on the massage system, meaning you can control everything right from your fingertips.

The leatheroid cover and the hardwearing clips ensure that sufficient insulation is provided and the filtration system keeps debris out of the water at all times.

It’s also incredibly easy to set up and maintain, thanks to the included instruction manual and DVD.

You get 2 filter cartridges, as well as a chemical floater in the package to help you maintain this inflatable jacuzzi.

Again, this product isn’t cheap, but if you want something that has a large capacity and is of excellent quality, this is easily one of the best inflatable hot tubs out on the market right now.

3. Intex Octagonal Bubble Spa Hot Tub

This blow up jacuzzi by Intex features fiber-tech construction and 120 heated bubble jets.

This inflatable spa is the first on this list that is made by Intex, and is actually the most expensive one as well.

It’s pricy but looks absolutely fantastic and performs brilliantly.

The build quality is sturdy and feels premium thanks to its fiber-tech construction, which is unlike any other option out there.

The built-in massage system uses 120 heated bubble jets to give you a refreshing massage, and can be activated using the simple control panel.

The heating management system can easily adjust the temperature to fit your preference and works very well.

We liked the built-in hard water treatment system, as it lets you relax without affecting your skin.

It’s not too large so the capacity will be limited to 4 people. You could probably squeeze in 6 people if you wanted to. This is a bit annoying considering it costs so much, but if you don’t mind this, this is arguably the best blow up hot tub.

Maintenance is easy with the filter cartridges, which can be easily replaced. You do get 2 included in the package, and can buy more once they’re finished.

It takes a bit of practice, since you’re using chemicals, but once you get the hang of it, it’s pretty easy to clean.

Overall, we really liked this inflatable hot tub. It’s a bit expensive but easily one of the best options out there. We highly recommend it!

4. The Lay-Z-Spa Miami

Priced at under £350, the Miami is the cheapest Lay-Z-Spa hot tub.

The Lay-Z Miami is one of the cheapest inflatable hot tubs on this list.

Don’t worry though, because we have not sacrificed on quality. As mentioned before, we only include products if they meet our strict criteria and perform extremely well, regardless of the price.

It looks stylish and features a black colour, which is pretty much perfect in any location.

Being inflatable and portable, you can set this up either indoors or outdoors. Basically, it can be set up anywhere, just as long as there is a flat surface.

The capacity of the Miami is limited to between 2-4 people, which is somewhat expected at this price. However, that is perfect for couples and families who just want to relax and unwind after a hard day at work.

It’s very easy to set up and like all Lay-Z products, you get a DVD with full instructions on setting up and maintenance it.

The built-in rapid heating system can heat the water up to 40 degrees. With the help of the included heater pump, which is digitally controlled, you can easily adjust and stabilise the water temperature.

This is also used to filter the water and activate the massage jet system, which works extremely well. Basically, every setting can be accessed at the click of a button thanks to this pump.

We also very impressed by the I-Beam constructed walls that make this very sturdy and less susceptible to damage. The included reinforced cover also helps to keep the water clean but preventing any debris from getting in.

Like all the other options on this list, you still get a chemical floater, and 2 filter cartridges to help you maintain it.

Apart from the fact that the capacity is limited to between 2-4 people, this mini inflatable spa has most of the features that we discussed, and so, is an absolute bargain.

If you want an affordable option that is of extremely high quality, don’t hesitate to go for the Miami.

5. The Lay-Z-Spa Portable Vegas Series

The Lay-Z-Spa Vegas performed brilliantly and made it on our list of hot tubs reviews.

Finally, our last option is the Lay-Z Spa Vegas inflatable hot tub.

Coming in a lovely white coloured leatheroid cover, this blow up hot tub looks stylish and will be perfect to put on your backyard decking.

It’s quite large, and should fit between 4-6 people comfortably.

With the heating management system, the water can be heated up to 40 degrees, which is optimum and the exact same as most other options we have discussed.

On top of that, the optimum temperature stays consistent with help of the inflatable inner lid, which offers excellent heat insulation.

The well-known Lay-Z massage system with air jets is built-in, and can be operated using the included digital control. This also can be used to control the water filtration system as well as the rapid heating system. It’s very easy to use and you have access to every feature at the press of a button.

Setup and regular maintenance is simple with help of the included DVD and instructions manual.

Included in this package is a twin pack of filter cartridges, and a chemical floater to help you get started.

While we do prefer the newer and cheaper Lay-Z Miami, the Vegas is very good and offers a bigger capacity.

So, if you need something that can fit 6 people, the Vegas is a better option. If capacity for 2-4 people is enough, we would definitely recommend the Miami.

Factors to Consider When Choosing a top-rated Inflatable Hot Tub

Buying an inflatable hot tub is not exactly a small purchase.

As you can see, even the cheapest product will still require a significant investment. Think about these factors before deciding on which product suits you best:

  • Capacity and Size: This is extremely important because it makes a huge difference on the price. On top of that, if you don’t have enough space at home, it would be pointless to buy a large blow up hot tub. Ask yourself how many people are going to be using it and whether there is enough space to store it.
  • Price: Firstly, we recommend setting a budget and sticking to it. As mentioned earlier, you will find options that cost less than £350, and others, which cost almost £600. So, think about what features and capacity you need, and choose the option that fits within your budget.
  • Features and Style: Look out for features such as a rapid heating system, and a massage system. Some options feature a digital control that can easily change any settings. Since you’re paying a lot of money, it’s important to make sure all of these features are included.

Final Thoughts

We hope this post has helped you find the best inflatable hot tub for your needs.

We had done plenty of research and tested a wide range of different products before compiling this list of the top 5 products.

All of these products look great and perform brilliantly. Our main aim was to find a set of products that not only have high performance features but also provide excellent value for money.

We also wanted to provide both expensive and cheaper options, as well as different capacity options, as we realise everyone has their own requirements.

We can say with full confidence that all of the products on this list are the best on the market right now.
